Esperanza
An ode to indomitable women everywhere and inspired by the real-life heroism of 19th century lighthouse keeper, Ida Lewis, Esperanza is a petticoat and herringbone vest period-piece launched into the stratosphere by original, blazing pop-rock anthems, incisive indie-rock gems, and soul-stirring ballads.
Spanning three decades, we are invited onto a remote island as locals to live and breathe the sea air. The lighthouse serves as our North Star, the townsfolk our shared humanity. Esperanza asks is hope always a good thing? And is accepting reality ever the right choice for dreamers?

Eighteenth century Spain. In search of a new life, Esperanza and her husband, Mario, are the new lighthouse keepers on the island of Fuerteventura. Welcomed by a cast of eccentric fishing town locals, including the troubadour/mayor, Lucha, a wise-cracking butcheress, Sofia, and old salts, Emiliano and Carlos, for whom no tall-tale is tall enough, Esperanza and Mario settle comfortably into their new home. Until Mario becomes lost at sea, that is.

Thus begins a story spanning over thirty years on the island where we flash-forward and flash-back in time, offering a glimpse into island-life, observing for ourselves the prolonged effects of sorrow and hope, and perhaps even uncover a secret or two the locals would rather we don't know.
Now, ask yourself, what does any sleepy fishing town in Isabelino-era Spain need more than anything? If your answer was a raw-infusion of original pop-rock songs ranging from indie jams to head-banging monsters, then, my friends, this is the show for you.
